May Square

Monserrat is the barrio situated directly south of San Nicolas and forms part of Buenos Aires’ business district. It is a neighborhood steeped in local history and home to some of Argentina’s most significant public buildings. The Plaza de Mayo (May Square) is the focal point of this neighborhood surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Cabildo (old city hall), the Cathedral and many others.

11:00 AM

Cafe Tortoni

The historical Avenida de Mayo is considered the first boulevard in the city (and the first avenue in South America). Located on this famous Avenida de Mayo, halfway between the National Congress and Casa Rosada, sits the oldest Café in Argentina: Café Tortoni. (Depending on the line we can choose an alternative)

12:30 PM

San Telmo

San Telmo is well known thanks to the beautiful Italian architecture but mainly also for the beautiful and unique antique market of San Telmo. We will walk from Montserrat to San Telmo. from 10-15 blocks. Visiting the market of San Telmo of 1898 and many more touristic attractions in between (like the smallest house in BA)

Meal (not included in the price)

You will have time to eat in one of the most unique restaurants in town. The guide will provide you ideas for you to have a meal to your taste. (Local food from the independence and traditional, empanadas, grill or we call it asado in a conventillo, or italian food mix with our Argentinean flavor in a antique shop).

02:00 PM

La Boca

Then you will continue the tour to La Boca neighborhood, home to the famous Boca Juniors Stadium and Caminito street, with bright colored buildings. The neighborhood has a strong identity, mainly contributed by the Italian immigrants that settled in this area.

You will then head for Puerto Madero, the newest and most contemporary district of Buenos Aires, where modern real estate and high-rise office buildings form a new kind of skyline, towering above an upscale promenade of riverfront bars and restaurants.
