  • Winter. Clear sky and transparent sea of SENSUI island, Fukuyama city, Hiroshima prefecture. This tiny but charming island can be accessed by small ship in 5 min. from TOMONOURA port town.
  • Winter in Kamakura city, Kanagawa prefecture. Huge statue of Buddha is watching us.

  • Early Spring in Kamakura city, Kanagawa prefecture. A gentleman explained Japan's ritual to write one's petition on votive tablet in TSURUGAOKA Hachimangu, Shintoism's shrine.

“ Superb introduction to Tokyo, and Japan in general ”

This was my first visit to Japan, and therefore very much needed a guided tour that covered some historical/cultural highlights, offered sufficient flexibility to accommodate my preferences, and did so effectively in English. Saori surpassed my expectations on all counts. I have no doubt that was in large part because, having lived in the U.S. and Europe for a substantial number of years, she has the perfect skill set to serve as a “bridge” between such differing cultures. “ 1st time and 1st day in Tokyo with amazing Saori! ”

We booked a day visit of Tokyo highlights with Saori for our group of 6 friends. Saori customized the tour to completely suit our wishes. She met us at our hotel lobby and took us under wings to navigate through the complex metro network. We had so much fun learning about Japanese culture and traditions. She’s very knowledgeable and having lived overseas for many years she could explain things in ways that would make sense to us. We would definitely recommend her to our friends and family.
